Number Of Journalists Killed In Mexico Reaches 'Historical High,' Report Says
While the number of journalists murdered worldwide in retaliation for their work appears to have dropped slightly from last year — killings of Mexican journalists continue to rise, reports show.
A new report by the Committee to Protect Journalists says that at least 42 journalists worldwide were killed in 2017 in retaliation for their work â which marks a drop from the 48 killed last year.
But one country defied what appears to be a downward trend â Mexico.
