Baby and friendship born in spite of rare cancer diagnosis
OAK LAWN, Ill. - With an incredulous "What? Shut up. No way," Raquel Lopez walked out of her last chemo session at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, and into a surprise gathering of doctors, nurses and the close friend who helped get her through these many months.
The afternoon celebration marked the end of treatment and the beginning of a new chapter for Lopez, who was diagnosed last year with a rare kind of cancer
