The number one tip is to create an environment where your subject is relaxed and happy. Making sure your pet feels safe and at ease is the key to crafting wonderful portraits. An animal’s mood is reflected in its face and body language. If you make the session a positive and fun experience they will see it as an adventure, and reward you with big smiles and cheerful energy.
Plan your shot list
Plan the story you want to tell through your shots.
Try to visualise the images you want in advance - think about what you want to shoot and why a particular angle or scene might be interesting. Be clear about what you want from your subject, jot down the poses and expressions you’re keen to capture, and then keep shooting until you check them all off your list – being aware to grab
