Nostalgia is a powerful force.

I’ve been avoiding the High Peaks area when choosing hikes to do with my sons, because of hiker traffic. The High Peaks are a magnet for day trippers and hard-core enthusiasts alike, but there are so many other places to go in the Adirondack Park.
