Gourmet campfire cooking

Some people go to great lengths when cooking on a camping trip, others may prefer to keep it simple and basic. One thing is for sure when camping, you will find yourself around a campfire – it’s an integral part of the romance of the bush.

Some campers call a campfire ‘the Bushmen’s TV’ as they appear to stare into it for hours at a time, mesmerised by the flames as it devours the wood, turning it to red-hot coals, then ash, and repeating the process by placing more wood on the fire.
