in one very specific way, in that it’s a zombie game I remember being far worse than it is. It all felt very 70 per cent the first time. Instead, I’m surprised by how dense and detailed and sporadically beautiful it is. There are tumbling shanty towns, wafting trees, and flocks of birds framing wistful sunsets. Even a viral outbreak can’t ruin it. And the Tower, the hub location in which I begin the game, feels like a real place full of actual people.
