After the foundations comes the oversite — the concrete slab that constitutes your ground floor. Reaching this point comprises all the work between pouring the foundations up to building the walls.
The process is broadly similar whether you’re constructing a garage, extension or a new dwelling, although insulation and cavity wall (in the case of masonry builds) requirements will vary, so your Building Regs’ drawings will be your starting point.
