While the idea of receiving your vitamins intravenously seems like a novel idea, IV therapy isn’t new at all. Visit any hospital and you’ll see patients hooked up to drips administering hydration, antibiotics, medicines and even pain relief.

Although the efficacy of medical IV therapy is undisputed, the rapid rise of clinics offering IV vitamin infusions to the general public is not backed by scientific evidence and consumers should exercise caution.
