Mornings with Jesus

EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 21

A NEW BOOK BY ONE of my favorite authors arrived in the mail. Within moments, I was hand in hand with the protagonist, An angel, lightening-bright with God’s glory, standing with arms flung wide, atop an empty tomb. Soldiers, who moments before had been standing guard, laid out flat, stunned by the brightness of the Resurrected Lord. The aroma of spices lingers in the air as an alabaster jar rolls down the hill. The gore of Good Friday gives way to the high hope of Easter Sunday. Mary Magdalene, is racing with joy toward the disciples, yelling at the top of her lungs, “He is ALIVE! I have seen Him! He is ALIVE!”
