STAR TREK IS GOING TO THE DOGS – and it’s all Sir Patrick Stewart’s fault. When it came to Jean-Luc Picard’s most trusted second-in-command for this new series, the leading man had very specific ideas about his new Number One.
“My wife and I are passionate about pit bulls,” he explains. “We have fostered, I think, five of them, one of whom – Ginger – has become a worldwide star. Dogs can give you so much, I’m beginning to learn. Since we fostered Ginger three years ago, we just look for those opportunities to come back again.”
