ou know what’s not very scary? Grass. So , a horror movie about some scary grass, had its work cut out. And it’s a bit of a mulch. This adaptation of Joe Hill and Stephen King’s short story has now landed on Netflix. At the centre is a strange and massive field, which draws you in via the cries for help of a frightened child., seemed like the perfect director. But while the endless rooms of were mesmerising, all that grass is pretty monotonous to look at – and that’s when you can even see what’s going on (the movie is very dark). feels exactly like what it is: a clever, twisty short story that works better on the page than the screen. The grass isn’t always greener, as they say.
