PREVENTION IS KEY

In 2006, I was the sergeant of the Scottsdale Police Department’s Special Victim’s Unit charged with, among other things, supervising the effort to keep kids safe on the Internet. Technology was quickly becoming an inextricable part of adolescent lives. As quickly as my team identified ways to foil online predators, new platforms emerged to counter our effort.
