For a girl who would grow up to become a Miss Universe Australia winner, Tegan Martin’s upbringing wasn’t all dress-ups and tea parties. “A lot of people probably think I’ve always been a girly girl, but I was actually a good mix between being girly and a tomboy and I played a lot of sports,” says the 27-year-old from Newcastle. She played representative netball, along with basketball and credits, “I’ll give anything a crack”.
