A healing journey

Tell us about your fitness journey. I started out as a spin instructor and then decided to try my hand at running. I ran a few half marathons, and a full marathon about 10 years ago. Then I thought I’d give triathlon a go and even did a half Ironman before turning my attention to bodybuilding.

I really enjoyed learning how to train my body using weights; it was a great outlet for me in terms of releasing stress, but the bodybuilding diet when you’re coming up to a show is very challenging, and I found cutting [reducing calories in order to shed fat while retaining muscle mass] for competitions always
