Making tracks!

Most tracks through bush are old tracks, made in the days of ‘no rules’, pre RMA. Many roads, highways and passes evolved from trails known to Maori. Walking trails may go straight up a hill, zigzag up it or go around it. Vehicle routes usually zigzag or go around, wheels don’t do straight-up very well.
