A New Mustang

Don Gordon took lessons at Casey Airfield out at Berwick, Victoria, and within a few years he’d completed his Commercial Licence. Soon after, he joined the Sport Aircraft Association with the intention of building his own aeroplane. It had to be something that was affordable and utility.

Don bought a set of plans for a Zenith 701 and over the next three years built it in his garage at Donvale, Melbourne. By 2004 it was flying.
