How safe is the safe?

Demand for safes, used to secure cash and valuables, has increased dramatically in both residential and commercial settings. Buyers need to consider a number of alternatives, depending on the type of valuables the safe is intended to protect.

Increasing demand

According to Khalil Chehab, CEO at Chehab Security, the company’s sales of safes have increased 40 percent since November 2019. The company sells around 20 safes per week. Similarly, the sales of safes at Zod Security increased by 50 percent, according to Elie Chidiac, Senior Security Adviser at the company. Zod is selling three to five safe boxes on average daily since last month. “The majority of the customers want buy a safe to keep their cash at home,” Chidiac said.
