When did you start painting, and what attracted you to art as a young person?
From my earliest memories, I’ve always enjoyed drawing and making things from whatever materials I could find. Wire, cardboard, sticks, and cans were always easily accessible and the ground was always available as a drawing surface. The first real paintings I made were watercolours of insects from a guide book.
What is the best advice you received at art school, and what’s the best advice you can give others?
