Choosing a light fixture is no longer about keeping the darkness out. It’s now about complementing the overall look and feel, and about lighting becoming an interior décor piece. Decorex Africa’s creative director Anita Bloom says, “We are moving towards softer, more nature-inspired interiors and correspondingly gentle illumination. There’s a multitude of hanging lights, floor lamps, table lamps, candles and lanterns to add a more sensual touch to our homes and moderate the task lighting of Scandi design.”
