FAMILY GOT ME THROUGH SUSIE’S MENINGITIS NIGHTMARE

Anew baby is always a blessing, but for Susie Nordqvist and her husband Graham Wright, little Indi’s arrival has brought much-needed joy amid one of the toughest years of their lives.

Their little ray of sunshine was born on November 1, just weeks after her broadcaster mum was struck down with meningitis, and a fortnight before her dad was hospitalised with pneumonia. They’ve had to call on all their reserves to get them through, but now they’re out the other side and more grateful than ever.

“It’s certainly been challenging,” says Newshub presenter Susie, as she welcomes us into the Auckland home she shares with Graham, four-year-old Arlo and his six-month-old sister Indi. “But it’s really made us stop and reflect and take stock.
