RIDING The bubble
The proposal to create a ‘bubble’ around Australia and New Zealand and drop travel restrictions makes sense for a lot of reasons. It will be a gift to the tourism industry of both countries, it will give the airlines something to do – and above all, it will allow us to go and ride those wonderful roads across the Tasman. Not roads actually across the Tasman. Roads over there, on the other side of the Tasman in the land of Lemon & Paeroa and the Roads of the Rings. You know what I mean.
