Pandemic Projects

The COVID-19 virus prompted governors across the country to issue “stay at home” orders. Soon after that happened, we began seeing many messages from car enthusiasts indicating they were happy to be spending more time in their home garages to work on project vehicles that they had previously been too busy to work on.

We began wondering how prevalent this change in habits was, what projects people were working on, how the vintage car parts supply chain was functioning for them, what their garages were like and whether they were working on previously planned projects or on new projects inspired by the downtime they have during the “shutdown.” Here are a few:

Kenn Oie: 1954, 1960 & 1983 Fords

Kenn Oie of New Holstein, Wis., said he is working on his 1960 Thunderbird, 1954 Ford and 1983 Mustang. The 1954 Ford is a project he attacks between working on the other two cars.
