For this recipe, shrimp are marinated in a New Orleans-style barbecue sauce before being grilled.

4 dried bay leaves
3 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
½ teaspoon ground black pepper
½ cup canola oil
24 jumbo fresh shrimp, peeled and deveined (heads and tails left on)
3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
