FODEN S10

I read with interest Mark Gredzinski’s article on Foden S10 tractors in the May edition of , noticing in particular two separate photos of the S104 tractor Reg No. B497 YYD. I assume that this tractor was new to Stephenson Clarke Industrial Fuels as seen in Mark’s photo taken in September 1985, before presumably passing to Wincanton Transport as seen in the second photo taken in July 1988. Wincanton Transport must have disposed of the Foden soon afterwards, as by 1990 and possibly earlier, the tractor had been acquired by Yorkshire fairground showman Roger Tuby as transport for his trailer-mounted Hollywood Arcade. As can be seen in the accompanying photo taken by myself during the pull-on for the March 1995 Stamford Mid-Lent fair, the Foden had been much altered with lengthened chassis carrying
