New Notes Due to Renewed Inflation

ZIMBABWE IS ONCE more issuing what will likely become ever-increasing denominations of bank notes due to rampant inflation.

Inflation decimated Zimbabwe’s currency system in the past, the nation then turning to foreign currencies for stability. Among the currencies in widespread use are those of China, Great Britain, South Africa and the United States. For a while it appeared Zimbabwe’s recently released system of coins and bank notes might succeed, but these four foreign currencies were officially reintroduced in March.
