‘Thank heavens I’m fat!’

Standing in front of the mirror, I called to my husband Craig, then 53.

‘Can you take a picture of the mark on my stomach?’ I asked. ‘I can’t see it.’

It was May 2018 and, for the last few days, my tum had been so itchy.

At first, I’d ignored it.

But now, the patch of skin was driving me mad.

And being a little on the large side, I couldn’t see my stomach properly over my breasts.
