■ 1m (39 3/8") quilting-weight fabric (we used Dashwood Fabrics Eden Pop in In the Garden from www.wool warehouse.co.uk )

■ 1m (39 3/8") cotton canvas fabric

■ 1 x 1m (39 3/8 x 39 3/8") wadding

■ 250g polyester stuffing

■ Eight self-cover buttons, 2cm (¾") wide

■ Matching sewing thread

■ Upholstery thread
