For the sponge layers
80g (3oz) butter, at room temperature
60ml (2fl oz) milk
6 free-range eggs
180g (6½oz) sugar
180g (6½oz) flour, sifted
2 tbsp water
For the cinnamon bun layer
10 unbaked cinnamon buns
