Architecture and art

ith so many visual exhibitions migrating online, the Colorado Photographic Arts Center provides a unique viewing experience for—a juried, online exhibition of architecture photography highlighting the City of Denver in partnership with the Denver Architecture Foundation. If you like perusing creative views of world-class architectural icons that define our beautiful city, you’ll have to check it out. In its third year, the exhibit has had some stunning entries by talented local photographers such as Don Gardner’s capture of Downtown Denver’s 16th Street Mall and the Daniel & Fisher’s Clock Tower lit for the holidays. “My wife and I were headed downtown for an office holiday party and I grabbed my camera as we headed out the door. I knew the combination of a cold night, with snow lightly falling, and holiday lights would make for great reflections off the glistening streets,” says Gardner. Oh, and did we mention the exhibition is free? Runs from Dec. 4th – Mar. 1st.
