A NEW SCRABBLE HANGOUT

Scrabble has had a very interesting year. The pandemic has shut down standard tournament play, forcing all sorts of events online. In my opinion, this has oddly made the Scrabble world feel more connected, with players spending their time finding different ways to interact and creating new materials. Online tournaments are enticing new players to give clubs and competitions a try, enabling them to play from their living rooms for low or no cost.

In October, a new site called was released, intending to be the new go-to site for all things Scrabble. The creative team behind Woogles answered a few questions about Scrabble’s newest hangout—what it is, where it got its name, and what their future plans are.
