Glittering prize for Raven

ew York born and based author Raven Leilani has won the $50,000 Kirkus Prize For. Raven also won the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, a remarkable double which establishes her as a major new figure in the US literary world. Making her awards even more lucrative, to mark the fifteenth year of the First Novel Prize, the prize money was increased this year from $10,000 to $15,000.
