I’ve been a serious photographer for 45 years and a watercolorist for 40 years. For better or worse, my photography and painting styles and processes are completely intertwined. My initial ideas for paintings come almost exclusively from my own photography, and I spend many hours every year capturing and composing images in my viewfinder expressly for my paintings.
