‘It’s the perfect opportunity to encourage more women to play’ Fleur East

With golf courses allowed to open up across England this week, four female celebrities are getting into the swing of inspiring more women to play. Singer-songwriter Fleur East, TV presenter Helen Skelton, Sky Sports Formula 1 presenter Natalie Pinkham and broadcaster Bela Shah have teamed up for a tee-riffic competition, and for the next seven months will be in training before battling it out in a nerve-racking play-off to qualify for the BMW PGA Championship Celebrity Pro-Am at Wentworth Golf Club, Surrey, later this year.

When it comes to a new hobby, former host Helen believes golf is a great option for women, especially now. “Golf is calm,” Helen tells as we catch up with the women to hear about their challenge. “You get to enjoy nature without having to travel miles from your house and disappear to a national park. And it’s perfect for mindfulness.
