About this audiobook
Madeleine Wickham, who writes the internationally bestselling Shopaholic series as Sophie Kinsella, has penned an irresistibly dishy and entertaining novel about three savvy young women and the secrets they share over monthly drinks.
Roxanne: glamorous, self-confident, with a secret lover--a married man
Maggie: capable and high-achieving, until she finds the one thing she can't cope with--motherhood
Candice: honest, decent, or so she believes--until a ghost from her past turns up
At the first of every month, when the office has reached its pinnacle of hysteria, Maggie, Roxanne, and Candice meet at London's swankiest bar for an evening of cocktails and gossip. Here, they chat about what's new at The Londoner, the glossy fashion magazine where they all work, and everything else that's going on in their lives. Or almost everything. Beneath the girl talk and the laughter, each of the three has a secret. And when a chance encounter at the cocktail bar sets in motion an extraordinary chain of events, each one will find their biggest secret revealed.
In Cocktails for Three, Madeleine Wickham combines her trademark humor with remarkable insight to create an edgy, romantic tale of secrets, strangers, and a splash of scandal.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Nice, light-hearted read from the author who wrote the "Shopaholic" series about the lives of three London women: one navigating the first few weeks of motherhood, one a new friendship, and one in the throes of an adulterous affair. If you like Shopaholic, you'll probably like this too.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was such a cute book! I felt like I was there with the girls and their cocktails. It brought up some serious issues that most women face, especially those with children. Another quick read but well worth your time!
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was not as good as her books written as Sophie Kinsella
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Overall, I enjoyed this "chick lit" book. It definitely had heavier topics, and although some of the plot twists were hard to believe I liked the way the three characters developed. I especially liked the relationship with Ralph- I didnt see that one coming. Yes, it is a little bit darker than the Shopaholic books. However, the same messages behind the story, character development, and entertainment are still there. I was glad to find Madeleine Wickham, and will definitely pick up some more of her (Kinsella's) books.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I had never read anything by Madeline Wickham. I was pleasantly surprised that I liked the book.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was on ok book. Not bad enough to stop reading it, just enough to keep me reading but not enough to keep me totally enthralled. I had a connection with the mother in the story but even that wasnt a great reason to keep reading. This is one that I don't think I would recommend to anyone else but who knows someone probably loved it.
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I rarely give up on a book in the middle, but I could only stomach 80 of this one's 300 pages. The writing is as banal as ever I've encountered, the characters are two-dimensional on their good days, the plot is obvious, and its development is like watching a train wreck. Three women make poor social decisions and get screwed over because of them.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Average chick lit . Nice book to read on a Holliday. It's about the live of three woman who has to deal with their own problems and how this effects their friendship.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I like Sophia Kinsella better and this is why. When she writes under the name "Madeleine Wickham" it's not as funny. There's heavier topics (death). I think I was looking for a Kinsella book and that's why I was disappointed. It was a good story though for the most part.
