- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Concise review of market cap weighted index funds methodology and explanation of value (or fundamental) weighing methodology. The central idea is that the market cap index buys too many overpriced stocks and not enough value stocks. This hurts performance in the long run.
Not really a "how-to" conclusion, but enough information to understand the big secret and continue research on your own. An important point to understand is that value investing is a long term perspective and requires more than a single day/month/quarter/year timeline. So it is appropriate to an individual investor that understands the long term roller coaster cycle of fear & greed of Mr. Market.2 people found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This has been a excellent Stock market book. I have learnt a lot of knowledge and tips . Highly recommended.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This book confused me and I wasn't sure how to rate it. It gives you good insights on what to avoid, when looking for investments and on the other hand it tells you the secret of finding stock market gems. However, the letter is briefly mentioned and not analyzed. It tries to explain how to find value stocks. It was small and proved to be a good companion to strengthen your knowledge
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Very good book. Enjoyed it. A lot of common sense.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I usually like his books better but it really was just a pamphlet for value weighted inexes
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Can’t get enough of Joel’s wisdom. Timeless advices to get ahead in stock markets.
