About this audiobook

In Melbourne's urban underworld, there's a nightclub for every fantasy and desire. But for Riley Jenson, one such club has become an obsession. Riley, a rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, hasn't come in pursuit of pleasure but of an unknown killer who's been using the steamy nightspot as his hunting grounds.

Leave it to Riley to find the only ticket into the heavily guarded club: Jin, a deliciously hot-bodied bartender who might just provide the key to unmasking a killer unlike any other in the Directorate's experience. Taunted by a former colleague turned rogue, distracted by an ex-lover's attentions, Riley follows Jin into a realm of pleasure she could never have imagined. And as danger and passion ignite, a shocking mystery begins to unravel-one where Riley herself becomes the ultimate object of desire.

Book 4 in the Riley Jenson series. Riley Jenson, a rare hybrid of vampire and werewolf, works for Melbourne’s Directorate of Other Races, an organisation created to police the supernatural races whilst protecting humans. A Melbourne’s nightclub has become the hunting ground of a serial killer and Riley is investigating. Her ticket into the club is Jin, a gorgeous bartender who is more than he seems. Taunted by former guardian turned rogue, Gautier, and with her relationship with vampire Quinn running hot and cold this is a fast paced paranormal romance by Australian author Keri Arthur.

Sexually adventurous and explicit. Decent story line and good main character.

Was tired of the heroine bursting into rainbows every time she had sex. The author may provide sexy scenes, but they are copy/paste so that each scene is pretty much word-for-word the same.

Not one of my favorite in the series but still a good enough read for the paranormal-romance's lovers.
The most aggravating thing in the story was, for me, the whole love triangle Riley-Quinn-Kellen that is going on for a long time and Riley's relative musing about who's best between the two: she has the same arguments pro/contro both of them she had from the start so it's just annoying! Usually I don't have a problem with this type of situations, they make romance more interesting after all, but after a while there should be a choice between the two contending part and I think that the author waited a little too long in making Riley choose (I won't give any spoiler but in the end she finally made a choice!).

A sexy thrill ride with demons, weres, vamps and shifters. The action is fast and raunchy, with exciting outcomes. The relationships left me frustrated and satisfied in the same chapter ! Riley has it all, danger, lusty sexy men, drama, crazy job and anger issues. I love these stories I can not predict the outcome.

I'm not sure how I feel about this one, I think it was a vast improvemnet over #3 in terms of storyline - we get to see more of Riley's developing talents and personal growth, learn more about Quinn, and are introduced to another facet of Arthurs supernatural world. Some of the imagery in Dangerous Games is pretty skin crawlingly explicit, tipping into the horror genre for me. I think perhaps that is why I can't say it was a great read. Still I'll keep at the series.

I gave this book 3.5 stars, which is typically how I rate Keri Arthur's books--though some have definately been better then others. This is the fourth book in a series about Riley, a vampire/werewolf who hunts supernatural bad guys for a living. The series has it's ups and downs quality wise--this book was one of the ups in my opinion.Riley and her twin brother Rhoan are hunting a murderer who has been butchering women. Tracking leads, Riley stumbles upon Jin--a bartender who seems human but is something more. Riley quickly learns that not only is Jin a rough bedroom partner, he is also at the center of a magical organization who thrive on sexual pain as an energy source. As Riley attempt to bring down the bad guys, she continues to be pursued by her two leading men--Quinn and Kellen.I liked the overall premise of this book. There are some plot holes and unanswered questions, so it's not the most cleaning told story in the world. Also it's slow in the middle. But in the end the story leaves a lot of room for Riley to develope. Still reluctant in her position as gaurdian, she is forced to make some tough decisions and reevaluate her life. Her relationships are once again called into question as new things about Quinn are revealed and I admit the suspence in this is one of the main things that keeps me interested in the series. Athur has a talent for creating sexy mysterious men.Theres no shortage of bad guys in this book. While I thought Jin was fascinating, and I liked that Gautier was present, I didn't feel that all the others were necessary. In fact they add clutter.A good book overall. If your a fan of the series, you'll enjoy it.

This book was put on hold for a very looong time, I misplaced it and finally got the urge to look for it since Smut Slut Fest is about to happen and I saw Tigris_Eden and Larissa_Sarah talking about it on Twitter or they might have suggested to me or I might have seen it on their blog or all of the scenarios mentioned. So I thought what the heck, it is time to give werewolves a chance. I favor vampires greatly, there's something about changing into something fury makes them less attractive to me, but the sex scene, I will now agree that the vamps got nothing on the weres. While book 4 keeps me entertained, I was thrown in to confusion, the anceint gods of darkness did not appeal to me very well. I did however appreciate the horrors that they portray bdsm till you die is what they crave for. Talk about the highest level of carnal pleasure, I don't think anyone can top that. The dhampire nature of Riley still draws me to this series, and Arthur made sure that I never forget. I wish she would lose the repetitive phrases everytime Riley feels the unwanted desire she feels. I get it alreay she is a werewolve and that is part of her and even when her life is at stake she couldn't help on what she is. On the romance side. Quinn is beginning to irritate me, seriously when is his male ego and stupid werewolf issues going to end? While I am all about Team Quinn, for Riley's sake I think she should give Kellen a chance on the next book. Is that the case? Wait don't answer that. I'll start reading now...

I really like this series. Heroine is half werewolf/half vampire. It takes place in Melbourne, Australia. Good sex scenes.

I honestly think 'Dangerous Games' is the best of the series so far. The fight with Gautier seemed too drawn out. Even though Quinn is one of my favorite characters, I love how things ended with him. Makes me eager to find out what Riley will do in the next book.

Some of the hottest sex so far. I loved the case that they had to solve and the new caraters that were brought into Riley's story. I am heart broken abouth Riley and Quinn but I think that we haven't heard the from him.

I love Riley's character, and I can't wait to read the next one. I do hope that she works out things with Quinn though, because I will always like him better than Kellen or Kade or any of them.

This book largely wraps up loose ends - Gautier for example, and a resolution (probably not a final resolution, but a resolution at least) to the Quinn situation. It sees Riley growing into her role as a guardian and starting to enjoy some of the aspects of it. It sees a new direction in the sense of different evils: in this case an ancient god of death, despair and fear, and an exploration into heavy kinky sex, although this is again skipped over to some extent, and the kinky sex is *very* heavy and tied to the evil god and his disciples. This is going to sound odd, but having read several of them in short order, I'm reminded of a slight more horror and less sex version of Anita Blake. The fact that Riley is very happy about lots of sex is too much of a reaction to Anita's early prudish attitude and also her rather talky attitude in the later books. That said, it's still a good romp.

Another good episode in the series. Women are being are being skinned alive and the Directorate want to find out what is going on. Really looking forward to the next one.
