- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the best A to z book ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!So creative!! Yet so intresting!!!!!!!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a great beginning mystery book for early readers. My daughter enjoyed it thoroughly. With each clue given, she started developing her own theories about who and what was happening.
Although adult help did enter into the mystery, the children were allowed to explore the clues by themselves before determining their need for help.
The paranormal twist was wonderful, too!
A great read! - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5When Josh, Dink and Ruth Rose bump into a shady character into the supermarket who is pale white, and wearing sunglasses even though it is night, there is only one conclusion they can come to: There is a vampire in town! As the characters follow the supposed vampire around town clues keep stacking up: he is never outside during the day, everywhere he goes he leaves a string of people behind with band aids on their necks and, and this one is the clincher, he signed into the local motel as Dr. A. Cula. Will the gang be able to solve the mystery in time or will the vampire continue to wander around Green Lawn? With strong characters (both male and female) and easily to decipher words, this book is perfect for blossoming readers. The text is large enough to not scare away prospective readers while also containing just enough illustrations to keep them interested. Each chapter contains at least one (though most likely more) black and white drawings that depict the main events of the chapter. This book is one of the rarities that can easily be read, and enjoyed, by all genders and is a perfect introduction to the exciting genre of mystery books. It is a must have for the bookshelf.
