      Plum character is annoying!!! I hope she gets more intelligence in later books because I can't read much more of her character.

      I Love the book. However the recording was crap it skipped and jumped and I missed about three words to 10 words every minute to five so very difficult to listen to the whole book.

      It's starting to get to the point in the series where everything is getting familiar. I still found the novel funny and intend to keep reading the series, but with each book I feel more like it's formula writing over mixed genres.

      Enjoyed this one as much as the first three. Poor Stephanie has so many mis hap's it is to funny. I am starting to wonder if insurance is going to cover her vehicles and her home. The hot and steamy Morelli is still in the picture and I am looking forward to finding out what happens next with the two of them. The mix of characters is great. Great addition to the series.

Should be quick and easy to find her and take her in. But with Stephanie Plum and her crew of misfits, things are never easy.Once again we are joined by Grandma Mazur, Lulu, Ranger, and Joe Morelli. And now add in a transvestite named Sally Sweet. People get their fingers cut off and the head partially scalped. This is much more than just a simple woman stealing her boyfriend's car because she is mad at him.The story is interesting. I was totally engaged. And of course the hilarity ensues as only Ms. Evanovich can do.

      Five months ago we last left Stephanie "in a clinch" on her couch with Joe Morelli. Now, five months have passed and Stephanie Plum is still trying to be a bail bondsman (or is it bondswoman?) for her cousin Vinnie. She doesn't quite have her technique honed in, but she's getting there. She's the type of girl who can't pass up a home-cooked meal or the chance to make promises while crossing her fingers behind her back. It should be said, Stephanie is a walking disaster. Dead bodies pile up in her wake. So much so she is starting to get a reputation. Her vehicles are continuously getting destroyed (at least one per book). this time it's a Honda CRX. Luckily for her, her family's baby blue boat of a Buick is always available. This time Stephanie is on the hunt for Maxine Nowicki, wanted for theft and extortion. Only, Steph has unwanted company. Vinnie has hired nemesis Joyce Barnhardt, the woman who lured Stephanie's husband to cheat. Stephanie and Joyce have known each other since high school. Maxine shouldn't be hard to find. She has been leaving demented clues for her ex to follow like some kind of vicious scavenger hunt. At the same time, Stephanie is dealing with her own jealous girlfriend - someone insane enough to torch her Honda CRX and firebomb her apartment.

      I have read all of the Stephanie Plum novels so far and I just love these books. They are a very easy read and are something to read when you just wanna relax after a long day. They are just so humorous and I love all the characters, especially Grandma Mazur. It has a little bit of everything thrown in, while still being lighthearted.

      Stephanie Plum is back up to her bounty hunting hijinks hunting down a woman who skipped out on her bail after being arrested for stealing her boyfriend's car. Of course, the case isn't nearly as straight forward as it looks and the case once again causes major problems for Stephanie.Another fun entry in the series and although the book shows its age in parts (the language used around the two drag queens who pop up is great for 1998, but would probably take a bit of editing over twenty years later), overall it holds up well. The cast of characters surrounding Stephanie remain very funny and this time the mystery was mysterious enough I wasn't quite sure where it was headed. Definitely a read that will satisfy established fans of the series.

      Book 4 in the Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie is after a young woman who had stolen her boyfriend's car. That of course isn't the whole of the plot, her car as well as Lula's are blown up, her apartment is fire bombed. She also stumbles into Morelli's case which involves counterfeiting. Also for good measure there's a couple of drag queens thrown into the mix.

      Audiobook read by C J Critt3.5***This is book four in the popular Stephanie Plum series. Stephanie’s still pretty inept at her job, her romance with Morelli is heating up, she’s responsible for a couple of cars blowing up, Grandma Mazur is as nuts as ever, Steph gets a new “partner” in a cross-dressing leader of a rock band, and she tangles with rival bounty hunter Joyce Barnhardt. The earlier books in the series are very entertaining, but I lost interest after about book twelve. I re-read this one because it’s fast, enjoyable and fits a challenge. C J Critt is barely passable reading the audio book. Her delivery is S L O W … with L O N G pauses at scene breaks. I also didn’t like the voices she used for most of the characters. This should be a fast, snappy delivery. I recommend reading the text instead of listening.NOTE - I originally read this long before I had joined Shelfari or Goodreads, so never had recorded it ... the first date read is a wild guess based on having listed book 11 in the series as read in 2006.

      This was a very enjoyable read. I often laughed out loud about Stephanie's clumsiness. She has truly come to a talent in every faux pas and to achieve her goal anyway. In this story, once again went to her apartment and her car in flames. The special love relationship with Joe Morelli was intensified and Grandma Mazur, who always 'young at heart' coped well with a drag queen.I love Plums stories, as they are easy and quick to read and always make me laugh.

      BOTTOM-LINE:Fast paced, silly plot.PLOT OR PREMISE:Stephanie Plum has settled in to her job as a bounty hunter, and so picking up a missing NJ girl who failed to appear after stealing her boyfriend's truck seems like a cakewalk. And there's a bonus -- the boyfriend is willing to give her money too to find her and get some supposed love letters back from her. Easy peasy. Except nothing is easy for Plum, ever. The missing girl wants to stay missing, and her mother and co-worker are helping. Even when somebody else is looking for the girl too, and willing to hurt people to get them to talk..WHAT I LIKED:Plum has an extra helper in this case, a guy who's good with codes and clues. A flamboyant cross-dresser, he livens up the scene. And the relationship with Moretti leaps forward with the two cohabitating for awhile. I love the scenes where the women are talking about guns and what type of gun to carry, use, etc..WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:There are some baddies who are painfully obviously involved, which Plum misses for most of the book. And someone who is out to get her is obvious as well. Almost painful to watch. Oh, and one of my favorite characters. Ranger, has nothing to do for the entire book.       Book four in Evanovich's series about Stephanie Plum, a neophyte bounty hunter from Trenton, New Jersey. I gotta say, I'm enjoying this series more and more as it goes on. At this point, it's gone from guilty pleasure to just plain pleasure. The plot isn't much, sure, but the humor is tons of fun. It probably also helped that this one included a visit to the Jersey Shore, which brought back a lot of childhood nostalgia for me. Also, I read most of it on an airplane, and it was pretty much the ideal airplane book: light and undemanding, but entertaining enough to effortlessly while away the time.

      Okay, I hesitate to give this 5 stars. I did love it, and that's what 5 stars translates into to me. But I must add a caveat. This is a sometimes-naughty book. Four to Score is exactly what you're thinking. Not too overdone, but still. And the language is horrible. And there are some elements I wish weren't there that are added for humor but I think are too crass. I just wanted to get that out of the way for my fellow religious friends who might be offended by it. But once you get beyond that... why do I love it? It is hilarious. Really. So, for every other book review I write on these books, I won't mention all this... this should cover it for them all :)

      Was as good as the other sequels. Kind of the same. Stephanie gets assignment. Assignment unusually hard. Eventually relates to whatever major crime Morelli is working on. Colorful characters.

      I really enjoyed Four to Score. It's my favorite so far even though I have manby to go. I thought the humor, action, and reluctant romance was sharp and on point. This novel flowed easier than the previous three. With the others, it took me awhile to develop a groove to it.

      That's not to say the others weren't good or had uninteresting stories. In fact, Four to Score's story was not as interesting as Two for the Dough and Three to Get Deadly. There was something about this one though that made it a fast read.

      A rollicking, wild ride with bounty hunter, Stephanie Plum, and her wild sidekicks......Grandma and her gun, Sally the cross dresser, Lula the wild thing, sexy Joe Morelli, just to name a few. Cars blow up, apartments are fire bombed, and counterfeit money is passed. And....where the heck is Maxine Nowicki? You will just have to relax and read this laugh out loud novel to find out.

      I will never have enough good things to say about these books. Ever. It's not an insanely suspenseful book, so you don't have to be afraid of reading it before bed. It's not strictly a love story. It is suspense, comedy, and at parts, romantic...or a least sexual comedy. I love these books. This series is the only series that has every made me literally laugh out loud. This was just as good as the other 3 I have read. They never disappoint. It's a nice break in between reading some intense, or suspenseful books! I can't wait to read the next one.

      How can you not love these wonderful characters!?! Stephanie has a new job, all she has to do is get a revenge seeking waitress who has skipped bail. Doesn't sound super hard or hazardous, seeing as how her revenge is not for Stephanie. Before she knows it though her case is being turned upside down by more than just one person. Her ex-husband's "other woman" from their wrecked marriage is on the same case as her, the waitress she is trying to find is being sought after by her ex boyfriend too...who happens to hire Stephanie to help him find her, and she now is having threats made on her life. What a wonderful time. Soon she is at the mercy of Joe Morelli for help, the last person she ever wanted to go to for help considering their past with each other. To make it even more interesting, her 73 year old Grandmother is still trying to help her with cases and insists on carrying a gun...a big gun. Will Stephanie ever get to the bottom of all this and find her lost waitress? Will she do it before everything is destroyed she cares about...including her life? Also, will she be put in a situation that will lead her right into Joe's arms...possibly forever? Stephanie hopes with the help of her friend and former ex hooker Lula, her gun toting Grandma, and a transvestite musician named Sally who just happens to be an expert on puzzles she will not only find the MIA waitress, but will also get to the bottom of who is making the threats on her life as well.I haven't read one of Evanovich's books in a long time, so I was a bit worried about picking up this series again after so long for fear that I would be lost or not remember things that I may need to for things to make sense. I was only a chapter in when this fear and apprehension left me. Evanovich is one of those great authors who make it super easy to pick up one of her books and feel like you just read the one before that one. She also is a great author in the respect that if you haven't read any of her other books, it will all make perfect sense still with the few recaps she throws into the book you are reading. She also is a sly author who makes you want to go back and read the past ones just because they sounded so good through the one you are reading now! This book did not disappoint me at all, that same great author came out in this book just like I remembered from her previous books. The plot was thick with suspense and also had a couple subplots that added to the excitement of it all. This book was packed full of action from the first chapter all the way to the last page. I love how there was never that drop off point in the book, like there is in so many other books. You know the one, the point at which the mystery is solved or the plot is concluded and then nothing else keeps your attention through that tail end of pages. This doesn't happen with Evanovich's writing and that takes talent if you ask me. I loved the characters just as much as I have in the past and I was so excited to see them develop even more than from the other books. I just love the slow progression of whatever the relationship is with Stephanie and Joe. I think we can all sort of relate to what is going on there. Two people who wouldn't mind being together, but are scared to death to be in any kind of commitment. These characters along with the other great ones seen before like Grandma and Lula, as well as the new ones we meet in this book like Sally, really make this book what it is! They are the glue that just seals the whole deal together as a great book! If you like mystery, suspense, and even a bit of romance, this is the book for you. I know I loved it! I can't wait to continue on in the series to see where they all go from here and what kind of trouble Stephanie can get herself into next time.5/5 Stars!!
