About this audiobook

Dien Bien Phu. Saigon. Hanoi.

In 1954, they were only exotic names from a French campaign halfway around the world. But now American fighting men-proven on the bloody beaches of Normandy and in the minefields of Korea-are summoned to help beat back the guerilla forces of Ho Chi Minh.

In 1967 I arrived at Ft Rucker to complete my WOC training as an Army Aviator. After completion I was given CH47 transition. 30 years later I retired from the Army and moved to Bali Indonesia.
This is the 3rd time I have had the honor of reading this book. Each time It reminds me of my career in the Army and my nonconformist ways I served my Country. As a CW4 I see myself as somewhat like a lot of the men in this book. The book also allows me to handle my everlasting stress of my 2 1/2 years in Vietnam.
Even if he is not here to read my review, I thank W.E.B. for his series and for helping me cope. I will always be an Army Aviator.
