- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This isn’t one of my favorites of Dean Koontz. It seemed to drag in too many places. It is, however, very interesting that I would read it in the midst of this pandemic and all the hate and riots in the world right now. Almost parallels what is happening now in some ways.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This was ok but not quite as exciting or interesting as I normally expect from Koontz. The imagery was amazing-nobody can set a scene or make you visualize better. But the story itself was just ok for me.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Metaphors delight and startle me as I followed the story of such young lives. Each unaware of their true selves amongst the scared humans we all are.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Not a typical Koontz novel. I didn’t like this one.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful story beautifully written excellent narration a voice that pleasant and easy to listen to, very enjoyable experience ?
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I tried to keep up… it all sounded like a great idea, it in the w d it was just a bunch of I don’t know what
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great read with a surprising twist. Could it be true?
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This book was torture. I wasted hours of my life listening to it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Wonderful story! totally original idea and not what you expect at all. A fast paced thriller with enchanting & strange elements. Narrator was also very good!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Somewhere between a vampire thriller and a post-apocalyptic adventure, this book was different from what I expected. It has some interesting ruminations on morality and a touching enough love story to keep it moving forward steadily.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Adolescent angst is made much worse when dealing with vampires. In spite of the presence of vampires, this is not a horror novel.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Easily one of my favourite books. Excellent! Very profound writing. I thought at first it was a new take on the Hunchback story but this book hits at the core of every man's morality, hope, fear and so much more.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great insight is shown; one should surprised by the knowledge of the world, virology, psychology, and theology presented. Additionally, it is a very good story that is as entertaining as it is provocative. Knoontz, as always, is presenting the tail with the enviable prose with witch each paragraph lives and moves.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This has to be the worst book by this author. I really felt like I was trapped in a Seinfeld episode. It wasn’t about innocence, it was about nothing. However, the reader did the best he could with what he had to work with.
