- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This is a collection of thoughts and stories by Mr. Hall about his first few months as a pilot for the Lafayette Escadrille, a squadron of fliers patrolling the trenches during the First World War. They are at once funny and tragic but ever thought provoking, especially for the prospective flier of the times.
