- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5"A Window to the World" is a wonderful book. It gives meaning to growing faith in God that a Christian, especially Christian teen, will encounter throughout his or her life. "The canyon - the forbidden, terrifying, amazing, astounding place - had at that very moment become for her a window to the world." This quote has stuck out in my mind throughout the book as something that everyone can relate to once they read this book. It goes on saying that, "She would not be able to explain it in so many words, not for several years, but the canyon was suddenly a picture of all she knew about life." I like those two quotes, because everyone goes through struggles in life and in a way, life is like a canyon, many things holding you back, but once you conquer it, its an amazing feeling. This book is very good book for seeing what can happen when you trust God and when ones faith grows in God.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Covering a span of about 15 years, this novel tells the story of what happens in the aftermath of a kidnapping - to the child left behind. Megan's process of maturing, colored by the traumatic event of her young life, is an interesting one. As Christian fiction, this novel also explores the ways in which Megan's faith in God is questioned and considered and ultimately strengthened, as well as giving her insight and strength. An enjoyable read.
