Based on the description, I didn’t think I would care much for this book - just a personal preference thing. And while it isn’t my favorite of her books so far, I ended up enjoying it much more than I thought I would.
I won’t say much more because I don’t want to give away the plot, but this is a good “read” and the narration is excellent as well. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The Narrator did a fantastic job! The book was so well written, deeply emotional and i love how the author incorporated poetry and christianity. I love Fern and Ambrose I wish the book had even more romantic scenes with them hehe. Great read!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved and was captivated by this story the whole way through. Also Rob Shapiro did an amazing job!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5More than I expected. I loved how the author explored idea of what real beauty is. I laughed and cried. The story moved along at a nice pace and I was invested in the characters. The narrator did a great job. Worth the listen.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Cute. I love how imagery is linked between the present and the past, tying up loose ends neatly and happily. More of a young adult novel or teen read, than adult, but perfect story-telling.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely fantastic! The audio narration was incredible and helped make Amy Harmon's emotional story even more impactful.
What a great tale of courage and love: courage in the face of certain death, courage to put yourself out there even if scary, courage to finally get out of a bad situation, courage to live and love yourself even when all seems lost. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Rips your heart out and puts it back together again. Excellent Any Harmon novel as always.
