About this audiobook
As the captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is all business. The apartment he shares with his teammate and best friend, Duncan, is a refuge from the pressures of fame. But when the sexiest woman he's ever seen interrupts his early morning coffee wearing only a skimpy cami and matching panties, Marc can't exactly say that he minds. Their chemistry is off the charts. Unfortunately, this girl's no random puck bunny. She's Duncan's little sister, and she's moving in.
Lovey Armstrong could stare at Marc's chiseled abs and listen to his French-Canadian accent all day. She just has no idea what's going on inside his head: When he's not charming her pants off, Marc makes a Zamboni machine seem warm and cuddly. Lovey knows that the team's bro code says no messing with sisters, but all these mixed messages are hard on a girl's self-esteem, especially since she's finally getting her new life together in Chicago. She decides that he's worth another shot . . . because if anyone can melt the ice around Marc's heart, it's Lovey.Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Lovey arrives at her brother Duncan's apartment without a notice that she's moving. This frustrates Duncan but he welcomes her into his apartment with the promise that she will find an apartment and move. Lovey wasn't expecting to meet Marc, Duncan's teammate and roommate. Sparks start flying but they know they have to keep things in the low because Duncan cannot find out. This was an entertaining read and a good start to the series. I was expecting more of it but it was good nonetheless. The romance was sweet and very steamy between Lovey and Marc. In this story, we see Marc as the sweet and reserved character while Lovey is the wild one. There were times where I really wanted to hit Lovey. She turned out to be irritating and annoying most of the time and I didn't agree with some of her decisions. On the other hand, I loved Marc. He is loyal to those he loves and is a great friend. If you're looking for a sports book, this book didn't quite highlight that aspect of it. It was focused more on the romance and friendship than any talk of sports at all.If you are into sweet and hot romance, barely any drama and a sport book where you won't get confused since there's no talk about the sport, then this one is for you.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5An amazing start to a new series. It has a great group of characters that should provide us with fantastic stories in the future. In this one we have Lovey Armstrong. Duncan Armstrong is one of the pilot players and Lovey is his little sister. She's hilarious, free spirited, and determined. When she shows up on the Duncan's doorstep needing a place to stay he obviously can't turn her away. Having her staying there with him and his roommate probably isn't the best idea though. His roommate is team captain Marc Dupuis. Always the stoic serious one, Lovey is determined to get him to smile. After all he's big, strong, French, and hot as hell. There's an immediate attraction but since she's Duncan's little sister, totally off limits. Are maybe, what Duncan doesn't know won't hurt him......
Can't wait to read the next in this series! I highly recommend this one. - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Major Misconduct (Aces Hockey #1) by Kelly Jamieson NHL captain of the Chicago Aces, Marc Dupuis is serious about hockey and respecting his friends. When his teammate/roommate Duncan Armstrong’s little sister, Lovey, moves in with them, he knows he has to respect Duncan’s wishes and not touch his sister. Unfortunately, they have an undeniable chemistry, and Lovey always gets what Lovey wants, and she definitely wants Marc. Kelly Jamieson’s Major Misconduct is a heart-throbbing book that was impossible to put down. A fantastic start to the Aces Hockey Series! This book immediately had some things going in its favor for me. First, it is a hockey romance. I love hockey. Next, it is set in Chicago. I was born and raised in Chicago. Now that being said, I can be critical about those subjects and Kelly Jamieson did an excellent job pulling off both topics. She clearly knows her hockey and the City of Chicago. Both are well reflected and believable in the story.I really liked the characters. It seems like any time I read a hockey romance about a Chicago NHL captain, I automatically associate him with Jonathan Toews, so he instantly goes up a notch. I mean what’s there not to like? Then to top it off, his teammates call him Captain Codger (Toews = Captain Serious). Needless to say, I love Marc. He is an excellent leader, a great hockey player, a good friend and teammate. Plus, he is sexy as hell. He is considerate and caring. Ah the list goes on…...Lovey is sweet and magnetic. Everyone loves her. I sympathized for her growing up in her brother’s shadow. Although I think, her parents did try to compensate. I see it all the time. My son is an only child, but he plays travel hockey with kids who have siblings. The siblings are dragged around to the practices and games for their older brother or sister. I think a slogan on a tee shirt I saw sums it up, “I have no life. My brother plays hockey." Yup, that was Lovey. I like that she figures out what she wants in life and pursues it. I also, love her motto (see her tattoo) and humor. She is an extremely likable character. The two are an adorable couple that balances each other.Kelly Jamieson did a commendable job writing Major Misconduct. I enjoyed the plot. The characters are well-developed. The ending was skillfully resolved. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series Off Limits (Aces Hockey #1.5).Complimentary copy provided by NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5A great new sports romance that thoroughly enjoyed. Lovey appears at her brother's high class condo looking for a place to stay, he agrees but she will also have to share with his room mate Marc, he is the captain for the Chicago Aces hockey team and Duncan her brother is a fellow play. Marc is a hot looking guy, but he is honest and kind and but he's been warned off Lovey by Duncan. Lovey is fun and friendly and she works hard, she now has goals and knows she can do it, but a little secret romancing with Marc would be great. Until feelings get hurt.I loved this story. Marc was a wonderful character very responsible and loving. Lovey was a hard character to like at times, she was a little annoying. The hockey action to the story was very entertaining and I look forward to reading more books from this series in the future.
