About this audiobook

Best-selling author Julia Quinn flawlessly combines passionate romance with "pitch perfect humor" (Publishers Weekly). Miranda Cheever has been blessed with many things, but Great Beauty is not among them. Still, when she meets Viscount Tuner she knows she is meant for him. As the years go by, fate is as kind to Miranda as it is harsh on the Viscount. He's skeptical about love with good reason-but he may be falling for Miranda.

The hero is a creepy abusive stalker. The reading performance only enhanced this . Absolutely terrible.

I really enjoyed this book, it was very easy to listen to. I was a little concerned that I wouldn’t like the narrator after reading the other reviews but actually I thought she was great.

Nice idea, but unnecessary long! Too much irrelevant details and I didn't like the narrator.

This might be a Spoiler review...
I would give this more stars BUT...
(And I hope Julia Quinn reads this) the labor of Miranda and the almost death scenario ruined it for me..I know romance novels have the leeway to be fuzzy about accurate details... but there was no need to write in such a near death experience during childbirth...I wish she had asked an expert such as a midwife for details to make Miranda's crisis ...and recovery more believable for this nurse reader.

Another great novel by Julia Quinn! I've read her other Bridgerton novels and spin-offs, and this was slightly different. It's more serious than the Bridgerton books, but just as witty and HOT! This is book 1 of the Bevelstoke series & I can't wait to read the next ones. All in all, you can never go wrong with Julia Quinn!

I love Julia Quinn and most of her characters, but dang it was so hard to like Turner and I was baffled as to why Miranda loved him so much. He was a jerk!

I liked the reader but just kept thinking how much better this would have been if Landor had read it.

I am a fan of all of Julia Quinns books, but this book - even knowing all the characters from other books- is not as fun and entertaining. Unfortunately, I think it has alot to do with the narrator. Her voices make the characters always sound as if they are snide and unwelcoming. I think that's why I always start with "What Happens in London" (Bevelstokes Book 2.) I love both Turner and Miranda, but I can't listen to the book to enjoy it.
