This is the story of Dawn and Tucker. We met Tucker in the previous book as a diver with the FBI. In this book he has joined Samantha's special team of profilers. Each member of the team has had an intimate connection with a serial killer. Their unfortunate experiences gives them a different perspective in hunting down these sadistic murderers.

Dawn is the only woman Tucker ever loved. It's been 7 years since they've seen each other and now he has to face the woman who was victimized by a sadistic psychopath called Iceman who tortured young women, then put them in a freezer to die. The case was different because Dawn was the only woman who got away. She was also the only woman who knew the Iceman because he was Tuckers older brother Jason. Iceman is eliminated, Dawn and Tucker go their separate ways.

Now, 7 years later the bodies of young girls are found and the pattern of torture and death is exactly the same as the Iceman's. Samantha's team is called in to investigate and Tucker specifically is asked to head the team since he knows more than anyone about the Iceman.

So many twists in this story of betrayal. It is a good story well written and I didn't figure out who the killer was until the last quarter of the book. There were some gaps in the story but not enough to mention since I was enjoying it anyway. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Well, it has been truly entertaining and fun reading and following each of the individuals personally. As the different personalities of each character began to unfold themselves. Then most of the arrow started to fall back to one of the agents of the FBI who was doing the investigation. The family history of the Frost was such that it has a great impact on the surroundings and the people living around them. Their father was responsible for all the psychological problems with his boys. First Jason Frost began killing and end up adopting his brother's friend trying to kill her including making her believed that he was also doing the killings with his brother.
After Tucker Frost was forced to kill his brother another brother that was unknown to the Frost brother started killing again this time in another city where Dawn was living. Toward the end, it was one of the local police officers by the name Anthony Frost. So, the medical examiner's survival was also part of the founding that leads to uncovering some secrets. And both Dawn and Tucker made it through another madness and killings from their family. They were both married now the new that they discovered the remains of Jackson Frost.
