About this audiobook
Ashley Kelly is your typical American teenager—or she would be if it wasn’t for the cluster bomb that crippled her. Seven years after the invasion, over a hundred million Americans have been displaced by the war, with millions more dead. Ash has spent seven years learning to walk again, and she’ll be damned if she’s going to lie down for anyone, human or otherwise.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I wasn't to sure about this book, but I have it a try because I really enjoy Cawdron's books that I read already. But, it lives up to his other ones. If you have listened to any of his other works you will likely enjoy this one as well.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Just a different angle on alien contact, life, war, existence. Good science in the background.
Great first person story through the eyes of teenage girl. Fast paced and teen humor.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Peter’s writing deserves 5-stars. I deducted a star because the science of this story is weaker than the other books of his that I’ve read, but as in every other book, the characters are tangible, filled with life, and driven by their personal agency. If you enjoyed the movie “The Abyss” or “Arrival” then you’ll likely enjoy Peter’s books.
