Loved every second of it as I did all the previous books.
The narrator was alright but sometimes I didn't really like her male voices.
Now on to the next one The Gentleman's Seduction.

I love this series. A little wicked and a little sweet. They are the perfect length also! The 10-11 hour long audiobooks tend to drag out and I lose interest (or patience) by the end. I also appreciate the characters and the lack of the usual wishy-washy interactions...they tend to not follow the traditional historical romance formula. Hate each other...strong sexual pull...start to feel for each other...imagined betrayal...admit their deep love for each other on the last page. It’s refreshing and not quite as predictable...except the happy ending.

Well, for lady Perdita Darby and Lord Vaughn Darlington meeting unusual way during a challenging of her best friends' honor known as Lady Alexander Worthing. But the lifelong friendship came to a stand still for a little while. But Lady Perdita had a bad man coming to her trying to dishonor her, and she had to seek the help of Lord Darlington known as the devil of London. Their arrangement, in her opinion, was to help save her from the evil Mr. Samuel Milburn, who went as far as trying to rape Lady Perdita Darby under the roof of her father during the Christmas holiday. He was stoped by Lord Vaughn Darlington who had to openup to Lady Perdita parent and he made to see that he did not do this for money but he has all the good Intentions to marry her at the end. Their daughter has accepted his proposal, and he is prepared to do just that to keep their daughter safe and protected.
After all, they got married, and he was almost killed by this. Mr. Samuel Milburn and his best friend and butler killed him. Great book and a very interesting ending.

Events progress quickly, and the villain is paper thin, but I decided I could just live with those. I think the book feels a bit shorter than it actually is, and both of those issues are common in shorter stories where there's limited space to develop them. I found the main characters likable though, and was happy to follow their story.
