The plot was great. I liked the side quests. A few surprises made it very interesting. I wasn't too keen on all the Christian stuff though so I found myself skipping a few times.

Title: If I live (If I Run Series Book #3)Author: Terri BlackstockPages: 352Year: 2018Publisher: ZondervanMy rating is 5 out of 5 stars. In the third and final novel, audiences get a thrilling conclusion to the characters of Casey Cox, Dylan Roberts, and Detective Keegan just to name a few. Casey has been running for a long time to avoid being arrested for a series of crimes. Dylan has been hired by the parents of Brent Pace to apprehend her for his murder and other infractions of the law. However, since the first book, Casey has amassed a lot of evidence to prove who the real culprits are behind Brent’s murder and others as well. The hard part is that while Casey has been on the run and while Dylan is trying to clear her name, those who committed the murders are also closing in on Casey. Casey’s character is one of not just surviving but also seeing that justice is done. What Casey is learning is the difference between obtaining justice her way or letting go to let God do it His way, as well as take care of her. Dylan has been praying for Casey to come to faith because he knows that without the Lord she will never know true peace. Each book in the If I Run Series that began with If I’m Found, then If I Run, concluding with If I Live is built upon the preceding book. When I began the series, each book was released a year apart, but I could dive right into each story, remembering where the last book left off and anxiously reading to see where Terri was going to take the plot and suspense! So, if you love suspense with faith, romance and climax, then here is a series just waiting for you to enjoy! While we wait for whatever flows next from Terri’s pen, consider reading her other novels that have been published and available today!Disclosure of Material Connection: I received one or more of the products or services mentioned above for free in the hope that I would mention it on my blog. This is the third book in the if I run series. I thought it was a good book and great closure. There were cheesy moments but overall a great story. This book is face paced and action filled. I will read more from this author in the future. This book brings to light topic like trusting God, seeking justice, and wanting evil to be exposed. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

a suspense series that is grittier than the authors usual yet still without language or sex scenes but not a cozy mystery either. the series does deal with some hard subjects. Especially the second in the series. Definitely written from a Christian worldview. Also these books are not standalones. They need to be read in order and ,to get the full story, all of them need to be read. while there were one or two holes in the stories overall they were well written. if you have liked any of the authors other books I think you will like these.

Loved this series. Well read and well written. Just the right amount of romance. This series was filled with lots of suspense and I couldn't do listening!

Terri Blackstock wrote several tales of survival where the ultimate prize is a new stronger Faith in Christ. She defines very clearly that there is only one way to life: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." John 14:6.
For me, there was no better encouragement than reading or listening to this engaging story about those two heroes Dylan and Casey looking for truth and life.

Can’t. Catch. My. Breath! Wow! This book is non-stop action and breath-taking suspense. I literally had to put the book down a few times just to walk around, regroup, and rest my tight muscles. My only regret is that I didn’t read all three books consecutively. Although, I don’t know if I could have stood it...too much “fight or flight” suspense! Finally, we are at the end of the long tunnel for Casey Cox who has been literally running for her life from two bad cops. Thankfully, she has Dylan, a PI, in her corner now. As she runs and hides from place to place, Dylan is busy trying to get the rest of the evidence she needs to prove her innocence. Along the way, many things happen that I won’t even begin to say because I don’t want to let any spoilers slip out.If you’ve read the first two books, then I know you’ll want to read this book NOW! If you haven’t read this series, now’s the time to buy all three and read one after the other. You won’t be disappointed. After you finish, make sure you read A Note From The Author. It is so good. She speaks truth and wraps all the feelings up and brings it home by helping us see that God holds all the answers to all our problems.

Wow. This gave me goosebumps, which I can't say for the rest of the (pretty large) stack of suspense I've read recently. A big part of that was the realistic basis for Casey's actions. She did what she had to do to survive, and she got the respect and empathy of readers because of that. I especially appreciate the fact that I didn't have to read through pages of a character overtly admiring someone else's physical attributes, which is becoming more and more prevalent in this type of fiction, sadly.
Keegan's POV, although it came from a ruthless character, wasn't what really got me. The scene, about halfway through dealing with child abuse? That choked me up.

A bit of a letdown. My first immediate thought after finishing this series was “Wow. There was quite a bit of religion thrown into this last book.” Not that I have anything against religion at all but it’s just not my cup of tea when I’m reading a book, especially a thriller. The story wraps up decently, but I just couldn’t get past a few things with this book. It felt very similar to book number one in the series, which was not my favorite. This is a hard one to review because I feel I can’t really say much without giving away what happens. Not many unexpected twists with this one.

This is the last novel in the trilogy and they do need to be read in order. This one takes up immediately from the ending of the last one. The entire book takes place over a matter of days rather than the months or weeks of the previous novels. That makes the pace rather frantic at times. The book is also written in the first person, with several points of view presented. If you are getting your books from your library...be sure they have all three before starting, because you will go crazy waiting for the complete set. If you like a good thriller series then this is just the thing for you. The trilogy consists of [If I'm Found] [If I Run] and [If I Live]

Terri Blackstock is one of my book club’s favorite authors. We never miss one of her books. If I Live, the final book in her If I Run series, did not disappoint us. We were unanimous in our approval of this book. A great ending to a wonderful series.Casey and Dylan are running out of time as they race to discover the truth behind the murder of their mutual friend. But the bad guys are working overtime as well, and the threats to both come fast and furious. Will they live long enough to unmask the evil?Casey and Dylan are great characters. My book club has really enjoyed the journey they have taken throughout the three books. Although the two have faced more and more danger, their faith grew and strengthened. Both characters suffer from PTSD, and Blackstock does an admirable job detailing what sufferers go through. I liked how they were not actually fixed, but gained peace and strength through their relationship with Jesus. The faith journeys of the two are complex (plenty of valleys and mountain tops) and encouraging. For those who love a good romantic suspense story, If I Live is just the ticket. The action is fast-paced with plenty of twists. And the love story is sweet as Casey and Dylan hope for a future. Although we knew the identity of the bad guy(s), there were some surprises we didn’t see coming. That’s a big plus for the veteran suspense readers in my group. We give two thumbs up to If I Live! Please note that the three books in this series are not standalone – you must read them in order. The good news is that all three are now available for hours of binge reading!Recommended.Audience: adults.(I received a copy of this book from Zondervan through NetGalley. I have been waiting for the conclusion of this series because it has been a heart stopping ride that I couldn't get enough of. I knew it was coming to a close and was anxious to see how the author would wrap everything up. Casey has been living on the edge of awhile . Is her luck running out? There are just so many ways to disguise yourself before someone catches on. When you are wanted for murder, you will do everything you can not to get caught. Her smarts keeps her hidden from the police as she tries to prove she did not murder anyone.I really enjoyed the interaction between Casey and Claire. It was nice to read how they shared their faith with each other. A new Christian like Casey really made Claire realize how we can get immune to what He really did for us. I thought this was a great side story that reminded Casey that she is not alone in trying to prove her innocence. If I was ever in trouble I know I would call Dylan for help. He is one sharp person. Details don't get past him and he is determined to help prove Casey's innocence. Their lives are in turmoil as danger surrounds them. Who doesn't want Casey found alive? What does she know that could destroy someone's integrity, job and perhaps their freedom? This is Terri at her very best as she reveals pure terror and heartless people who will do anything to keep themselves out of jail. This is one book that keeps you on your toes as explosions happen, death threats are spoken about and more bodies pile up. It's a race to the end as Casey and Dylan try to stay ahead of the master mind behind all that they have encountered.Well done Terri. You have given readers an ending that will not be forgotten. I'm sad to see the series end, but know the author is busy with a new book for her fans to grab up when it is hot off the press.I received a copy of this book from The Fiction Guild. The review is my own opinion.

I was sent the third book in this series for review. However; I have never read book one or two so I binge read them. I do not recommend reading this as a standalone, as you will miss out on so much information that took place in If I Run and If I’m Found. Both are very fast paced and you will not want to put them down. I read both over two days and I recommend starting this series from the beginning. This is a very action paced series. Once you start, you will not stop. You will want to know what is going to happen with Casey and Dylan. Keegan makes a great villain as I cringed with every page the author mentions his name. This was so intense as the story unfolds. The more you get to the know the characters, the more scared you get for them. I devoured this series and I am so glad this was sent my way or I may have never picked it up.Overall, I enjoyed this one just as much as book one and two. It was a great conclusion to the series. I will be picking more up from Terri Blackstock in the future.

Third in the thrilling If I Run series by Terri Blackstock, If I Live picks up with Casey desperately trying to keep two steps ahead of corrupt police officers, Sy Rollins and Gordon Keegan, who are determined to deliver her up as a dangerous psychopathic killer. Dylan Roberts is a private investigator, working with police, but hired by Brent Pace’s family, who want to get the real answers for their son's murder.Casey, by this point in the series, is implicated so convincingly in Brent’s murder, it will take a crack lawyer to get her absolved. I love how Blackstock causes Casey to choose her unconventional lawyer.Sometimes love can creep in when two souls are apart, yet communicating closely for a length of time. There isn’t actually a great amount of time that passes in the series, but the pressure is immense. Will this pressure negatively or positively affect Casey and Dylan’s relationship?Written in first person, the pov switches mainly between Casey and Dylan. The language is deceptively simple, belying the intense and complicated action. This is not a book I would recommend as a standalone. It needs to be read as it was written, third in a desperately exciting series. Also, probably not best read late at night.I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I am under no obligation to provide a positive review and all opinions are solely my own.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. This is a Christian author from a Christian publishing company. So, there are scenes between the action where the characters take time out to pray. I'm neither yes or no, so I just skip those pages. The action scenes and the story are so good with some excellent plot twists that I just overlook that part. An excellent author with an excellent series. Thanks to Zondervan Fiction and Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

had it and trying to savor it, but finally gave in and consumed it, and I sure was not disappointed. We have followed these people through three books and they have become family, and I care about them. There is so much action here, and we really root against the evil in the form of the police, yes corruption at the highest, and so many innocents hurt, including the main characters. Just when you think you find someone to trust, forget it, so sad, and scary.Surprises abound here, I could hardly believe how far the evil spread, but our hero has come a long way in her journey with God, and we know that no matter what happens she is going to be with him.You don’t want to miss this one, and do yourself a favor you won’t regret, read all three. These are awesome reads.I received this book through Net Galley and the Publisher Zondervan, and was not required to give a positive review.

I received a free e-copy of this book and have chosen to write an honest and unbiased review. I have no personal affiliation with the author. Wow! A great ending to a suspense filled trilogy. Full of twists and turns and the action never quits. I read until the wee hours to finish it. Couldn’t put it down. This book has a little bit of everything including a psychopathic cop gone rogue that has everyone fooled, murder, mayhem, narrow escapes, and even a little romance. This was a great conclusion to a great trilogy. Terri Blackstock is a great storyteller. ‘If I Live’ is well worth the read and I look forward to reading more from her in the future.
