About this audiobook
2016 Goodreads Choice Award-winning poet Amanda Lovelace returns in the witch doesn't burn in this one — the bold second book in her "women are some kind of magic" series.
The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now—indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5more like feminist and empowering reflections than poetry. (warning: really annoying use of the anaphora)

- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I would have rated it higher but the multitude of times words and phrases repeated almost endlessly was just too much. This was almost a DNF because of it but I learned to just skip ahead. I’m honestly happy for those that loved this. I wish I could have but it just left me so annoyed with its attempt to sound deep through its repetition (that’s how it came off to me) was just too much.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I truly, truly, truly enjoyed this one, it gave voice to words I had long forgotten. This book is a stir up for sure. Time to defend oneself and not to wait any longer for someone’s else to do it. Totally appreciated the L. Anderson insert as well.
